Life is not orderly...
...No matter how we try to make life so, right in the middle of it we die, lose a leg, fall in love, drop a jar of applesauce...

Natalie Goldberg
The Curmudgeon Woman

Friendship is one of the finer things in life.

The Cat Who Came To Dinner
A cat is quite a strange creature
Independance being its most prominent feature

Although its not unknown for one to love you
Generally, they think they are quite above you

Sitting in your favorite chair with undisguised disdain
Certain they are queenly and you--peasently plain

The cat that owns me is somewhat of a snob
So neat and fastidious I feel like a slob

Shes not above staying out all night
Partying and carousing til dawns early light

But she'll answer no questions when she comes in
Just looks at me cooly when I ask where shes been

I did not buy my cat nor was she a gift to me
She just appeared one day and sort of adopted me

She brought gifts to the door of my house
A lizard, a mocking bird and then a mouse

I tried to explaing what was wrong
Lizard was my friend and mockingbird sang pretty songs

She totally ignored me, insisted on doing things her way
Shes lived here quite a while now, though I never said she could stay/

Emotional Bondage

Suffer me not your presence.
For I bear with guilt knowledge your
love is lost, deep and cold in the
caves of isolation and betrayal.
Suffer me not your presence.
Your eyes pierce my soul,with
stabbing sudden pains,each time
your glance follows my direction.
Suffer me not your presence.
Is my fate to live each day in
regret,to face my sin over and over?
Suffer me not your presence.
Do you wish to live with a dead heart
and be a martyr for my betrayal?
Find blue skys and breathe with color
Heal your heart and laugh again.
Love will find your shinning soul.
Suffer your presence here no more.

Its funny, when I sit down to write this stuff -- it always suprises me because its never what I intended to write -- I think there's a dark side to me---Teresa *~*
